Titoki Team 0/1 - Term 2 Week 4 ending 25 May 2018

Wow it is hard to believe it is week four already.
We extend a warm welcome to Ava,Vida and Asher to Titoki iti J

Now that the weather has definitely turned it would be a great idea to send children to school with a raincoat as well as their layers of clothes that can be removed if it is a warm day. Alongside our usual busy programme of learning we are now preparing for our upcoming art exhibition and the Hammertime event.  Please add this fun evening into your diary - Friday 29th June.

Just a reminder for the morning drop offs, we are encouraging children to come in and find an activity and a friend in the mornings, rather than be handed to a teacher. If your child is not upset please help them with this independence as they enter the classroom.

Cross Country

What a shame that we have had to postpone this till next week.  It is looking like it will be held on Tuesday morning. Linda will send out a confirmation email.

Another thank you to those who have signed up for regular parent help and came along to the parent information meeting. We hope it was insightful. The children are really enjoying the PMP sessions and we have noticed a learning ‘buzz’ within our spaces. We would still love some more helpers so do let one of the teachers know if you are available.

Anti Bullying Day
The offical ‘anti bullying day’ was last Friday, but Bayfield will be celebrating it this coming Friday with a PINK DAY.

We encourage children to wear something pink to support this. We have been focussing on kindness with the children and particularly discussing ways to be kind and how it makes us
feel when we are kind to others. It is a great theme to continue at home too!

Scooter Fridays
Starting this Friday children can bring their scooters to school and ride them at morning tea time.  The student councillors will have an organised scootering area set up on the bottom courts to keep it safe.  All children must bring and wear their helmet if they are participating.

 Readers over the weekend
If you feel that your child would benefit from keeping their reading bag of books over the weekend for reading mileage, we are very happy for this to happen. Please just let one of the teachers know and hold on to it on a Thursday night instead of returning it to school on Friday.
