Titoki Team June 2018 Y0-1 - Term 2 Week 6 ending 8 June 2018

A special welcome to our new children in Titoki Iti
Tobias Trott, Ruben Pienaar & Kevinah Jones

We trust you had a relaxing long weekend and are ready and as excited as we are to tackle the second half of the term!

In the last two weeks we have started our Paper Mache art project in Titoki and the chldren are bursting with excitement about what their balloon is transforming into. It has been a wonderful exercise so far with many children facing their uncertainty about getting their hands into that sticky glue! I wonder how many of you have heard the little poem that we made up about it.  We will be showing off our finished pieces at the great art exhibition coming up.

Cross Country
A huge congratulations to everyone who participated in the Cross Country last week, you all did so well! A huge thanks to those who were able to parent help, and those who offered previously. We really appreciate parent help.
Those children who came in the Top 3 for each race (Yr1 boys and Yr1 girls) will receive their certifcate in whole school assembly this Friday.

This is the event of the year you don’t want to miss! The night is filled with music, silent and live auctions and a whole lot of fun! Tickets are $70pp, this includes a drink on arrival and a delicious light supper. Tickets are available via Kindo.

Sick Children & Lateness
Just a reminder, if your child is sick, we ask if you could please keep them at home until they are better to avoid spreading the germs! We have had a lot of children coming to school unwell and ending up having to go home again, this puts others at risk of catching their bugs while they are here.
Please make sure children are wearing shoes that they can remove and put on independently. We encourage them to wear their shoes at all times but there are occasions where they do need to take them off.

We have had an increasing number of children arriving late, please remember children need to be at school between 8:30-8:45am to be ready for the roll at 8:50am. It makes it hard to start our day, especially on PMP days if children are arriving at all different times throughout the morning - it is disruptive for all.
If you are late please go via the office first to let our lovely Linda & Liz know and then send your child in to the classroom by themselves to avoid further disruptions to our learning time. This would be greatly appreciated thanks!
Louise, Kate, Ashleigh and Michaela
